At Playwam, we recognise parents to be the first and most important educators of their children. Experience shows that working in partnership with parents, produces confident and well adjusted children.
We therefore welcome parents/carers into Playwam to help in a variety of ways, not only joining our very sociable committee but spending a little time each term washing up on craft days, gardening or chatting with the children.
The parents committee meets with the staff every half term to discuss the general running of the pre-school and relevant childare and educational policies and procedures. Social events such as concerts, trips and parties are also arranged (for both parents and children) and we welcome and encourage both new and existing members to participate.
Playwam recognises its responsibilities in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children within the legal framework of the Children’s Act of 1989 and 2012 and the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
